Almost three months after the wildfires in Australia have been put under control, we finally hear some “Pawsitive News!” The Australian Reptile Park in Somersby, Australia reports that its first koala has been born since the devastation of their habitat earlier this year. The joey is a little girl, fittingly named Ash. Park zookeeper, Dan Rumsey, told Buzzfeed, “Ash represents the start of what we’re hoping to be another successful breeding season. It was such an incredible moment when we saw Ash poke her head out of her mum’s pouch for the first time.” Honestly, how can you not feel your heart mend a little bit when you look upon the sweet girl’s face?
