Stunning footage has emerged to showcase a herd of Sika deer peacefully relaxing beneath cherry blossom trees in Japan’s iconic Nara Park. Photographer, Kazuki Ikeda, was organizing a photoshoot in April for a couple before their wedding, but shortly thereafter the docile deer stole the show. Locals consider the deer who live here to be “messengers of the gods,” and a Japanese guide states that they have become “a symbol of the city… a natural treasure.” Hard to argue that!
Just being a witness to these gorgeous animals lounging amongst the delicate, pink blossoms is absolutely enthralling and like something out of a magical scene. Perhaps you will want to add this one to your bucket list!
Cheers! - Amanda E.
